Update version 1.1: Added 2 jingles so now it has all 10. Also added 9 monologues, 3 dialogues, 3 news and some ads.
"None of that Rap crap (word). I've got a word for you homie... DUST!"
This mod brings our childhood's favorite radio station to GTA 5. It has all 17 tracks, jingles, monologues, dialogues, news and ads. All songs have voice lines from Tommy/Axl (directly imported from SA game files, so no crappy Youtube downloads).
It's not perfect though, every song has normaly two different dialogues by the host but I could only do 1 version of each song because the default station time can't be extended without messing it completely up. Also it's not possible to display every song's artist/name but I still made it immersive (see pics/video). It definitely has a radio station feel (unlike the cpu-raping Self Radio).
It replaces FlyLo FM. Beware that you have to copy the x64 folder into your Mods folder and the x64 is currently 16,6 GB big!

Best Mod ever bro !!! :)
Awesome.
Let's hope it won't get taken down.
Well done sir!
I wish we could add radiostations like this via Add-On tho
It took way to long for someone to make this. But now that it's out, it's great.
Good mod :)
Can you add Bounce Fm And Sf-Ru radio stations too please?
Can you make the V-ROCK radio from GTA Vice City?
@joaquin34 I probably will (and Libery Rock Radio from Lost and Damned) but not in the near future, I don't have much time at the moment.
@Hostile 751 Thanks. I could but I'd rather do V-Rock and Liberty first (not right now though).
Thanks for making this! K-DST brings back so many good memories.
@Solid Snake Ok
You guys better download these soon. For some bullshit reason they are removing all of the radio station mods from GTA 5 mods. Stupid DMCA invading our lives once again. For fuck sake, leave our mods alone. Thanks for making this mod! Keep the mods alive friends, protect our fair use rights! :D
I almost forgot, for anyone wondering what is going on with the radio station mods, read this: https://forums.gta5-mods.com/topic/20270/radio-station-mods-copyrighted-music-and-moderation/2
@HarleyQuinnSquad RIP I guess. I kinda expected this to happen some day but it's still mind-boggling. It's not like we're offering songs to be downloaded separately in a common and handy format. And on top of that I find it a bit strange that all those car brands/models and licensed game models (like from Star Wars games) are ok but radio stations is where they draw the line now. Not an expert on this but I think those mods are just as big a violation as radio station mods (which they all aren't imo because fair use). The moderators here want to play it safe I guess and there won't be much outrage because radio station mods aren't nearly as popular as cars. Imagine if they started removing car mods now.
@HarleyQuinnSquad Oh and thanks for the heads-up btw.
@Solid Snake No problem man. But yeah that was my argument as well. If they keep listening to these stupid DMCA claims then all of the mods will be taken down. I think GTA 5 mods should stand their ground. Like you said its not like we are giving the songs as Mp3s, then I could see the issue in that. These are compressed into rpf files for GTA V. Also the original game lets you make your own radio station. So I don't see the point of calling that a copyright infringement. I think it is an infringement on our fair use rights.
The good news is that the moderators decided to leave the radio stations that convert older radio stations from previous GTA games and any that have a rpf file to my knowledge. But they definitely said that radio stations like yours and any that convert older GTA songs are fine. I think as long as they are compressed into an rpf file you will be safe.
Here is a quote straight from a moderator: "We've left all other SA / VC / IV (already game-related radiostations) to V edits untouched until further decisions. Meanwhile other self made radio-edits using protected copyrighted songs are taken down, yes."
@HarleyQuinnSquad I'm so pissed they removed mine..........
@Solid Snake
Very grateful for this replacement! Finally got around to it
I wish you could do a replacement for 'Channel X' which I dislike strongly ;)
I've tried the Fever FM replacement https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/fever-105
But it's not working as smooth as yours, frankly besides the ads and Michael Jackson, I don't get any songs at all :D
Also, a question: there seems one entry still missing making a FlyLo text appear on the bottom of the screen when switching to K-DST. I haven't discovered where that specific entry is hidden? You?
@ReNNie Properly replacing radio stations like Channel X is not possible as far as I know because every single song, ad, line etc. has their own file there. There are only a few (FlyLo, the Mexican one and a couple of others) which are 2 or 4 big chunks of audio files where the songs and lines are just "chained" together. That's the way I did K-DST but I had to use some songs twice (but different lines) to match the exact total running time of the default station. And that's the big issue with most of the station mods here, they exceed the default running time and that causes problems like overlapping songs and even crashing the game. So the only way to properly replace stations like Channel X would be by putting in songs with the exact same running time as all the standard songs but even then it would sound weird because of the timing of song intros/outros and ads, which you cannot change as far as I know.
About the FlyLo text appearing: I haven't found anything about it either I'm afraid. If you learn something pls let me know :)
@joaquin34 It's done.
