VE:DGA is a mod that enhances dispatch, gang and action using modified vanilla assets. It's a mod that we made in 2021 for fun.

==INSTALLATION==
To install the mod, just drop the folders in the correct location, add "dlcpacks:/vedga/" in dlclist.xml
Also install the requirements: HeapAdjuster, Packfile Limit Adjuster and Dilapidated's Gameconfig to increase mod stability and avoiding crashes. Use DirectX 11 too so in that case there would be no weird textures.
==WHAT VE:DGA HAS TO OFFER==

-A new challenging wanted system written from scratch
-Law enforcement equipment will improve as your wanted level increases, expect to see snipers and juggernauts at 5 stars
-Law enforcement AI is improved, so fighting cops is slightly harder now
-A system when shooting a cop doesn't give you 3 stars immediately, doesn't apply on ambient cops on stations or scenarios due to limitations
-Reworked law enforcement related ambience
-New jurisdictions (SAHP, MW, NOOSE, USCG, MW-Humane Labs)
-Variety of vehicles and peds
--GANG--
-Gangsters has new variety of clothing
-Unused gang peds spawns naturally aswell, adding variety in some gang areas
-Each gang has a unique loadout
-Gang combat AI is improved, you can expect seeing gangsters carry their fallen homies to safety
-Their bravery towards law enforcement is slightly increased
--ACTION--
-Brawling AI is now improved, so there is a 75 percent chance peds would fight you back
-Knocking out NPCs doesn't kill them instantly and their props wouldn't fall
-Law enforcement has a new tactical shooting style (beware of mods that changes weaponanimations.meta)
-Michael and model switching to law enforcement will hold guns more professionally such as them using NPC cover animations or holding LMGs properly
-Different movement styles in different law enforcement agencies or gangs
-Showing your weapon to the public will alert the police (experimental)

Great mod but do you know which file controls gang members spawning in traffic in hood areas? I hate that there are just fights happening everywhere because of this feature and would like to attempt to remove it, wov makes it so members have occasional fights but this seems to turn it up to 100 in that aspect

@383rd Order yes I think because the other peds come out well their texture but the only problem is the titan noose the three tiates come out broken texture
I'm wondering, is it necessary to install the handling file? I'm using realistic top speed (the version with all the handlings in one file) and I don't want to lose it by replacing it with this handling file, can't you put it in the dlc.rpf? the handlings that have modifications?

@x3mgamer Have you just retextured LSPD female peds or have you actually worked on the models themselves and fixed hand misalignment, perhaps added new heads too?
I need help with something.
After I installed the mod, all the normal peds spawns in the cop cars, essentially replacing all 95% of the police in the game. What mods could cause an issue or what part of installation did I mess up? ( I do not have WoV)

It still doesn't work, infact this time it crashes the game entirely
im having a tough time understanding the intall instructions, help? pls
For anyone having difficulty getting this to work, I did too but here's a couple things to try that got it working for me:
1. This YouTube video ( https://youtu.be/JJVLO1X9c5U ) will show you how to properly install ScriptHookV, ScriptHookVDotNet, SHVDN2 and 3 packaged with LemonUI (you'll likely want both), Packfile and Heap Adjuster, OpenIV, and the gameconfig you want to use, limitless vehicles. You may also need the Decal Limit Adjuster if it still doesn't work ( https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/ymap-load-list-extent-limit-fix-fwboxstreamervariable-patch )
1a. My update/x64 didn't automatically get copied into the mods folder, if this happens simply open your GTA main folder and copy the update folder into the mods folder, then OpenIV should detect it when you try to edit from there.
2. Put everything from VEDGA's GTA V Directory into your main GTA V folder (the one with the GTA launcher and installers/mods/updates folders.
3. Open OpenIV, enter edit mode at the top right, and go into mods/update/update.rpf and drag everything from VEDGA's update.rpf folder (opened as a normal folder, not through OpenIV) onto the blank space to the right or below any files there. To verify they were replaced, continue going into common/data, and if there is "compressed" next to dispatch and events, this step worked.
4. Still in OpenIV with edit mode on, go into mods/update/update.rpf/common/data and right click / edit the dlclist.xml near the bottom. Add <Item>dlcpacks:/vedga/</Item> to a new line at the bottom before </Paths>
5. This mod likely conflicts with any mods altering the behavior or vehicles of law enforcement and gangs, If it still doesn't work try a fresh install without mods that affect these and see if that is the problem.
All that being said, lightly bumping a police car seems to result in an unexpected jump up to 2 stars a few seconds after the first, is there any file or anything to adjust this so I'm not in a multi star chase every time they get in my way?
I'm not sure if the jurisdictions work. When im at humane labs, normal LSSD spawn. Same with other areas
