This mod will one day completely overhaul the police in GTA V.
The immediate goals of this project are:
-Replace LSPD officers with ACT Policing officers.
-Replace BCSD officers with NSW Police officers.
Future goals include:
-Replace all police vehicles in-game with Australian police vehicles, with appropriate ACTPOL and NSWPOL liveries.
-Replace in-game police voices with authentic Australian Police voices.
-Replace in-game police radio with authentic Australian Police radio.
-Some other really cool far-fetched stuff.
Version 0.01 replaces male LSPD officers with ACT Policing officers.
-Light blue short sleeved uniform
-Dark blue long sleeved uniform
-AFP body armour
-AFP baseball cap
Known issues:
-Badge model does not match badge texture (hey, I'm a texture designer, not a 3D modeller. Cut me some slack)
-Cap texture is god awful.
-Glasses don't fit faces.
-Base texture quality isn't the greatest
-AFP sleeve patches are too low (not sure how to fix this one yet...)
-Latino character's hands and arms are slightly different colours.
-When in short sleeves, character's hands and inside arms go dark when it rains (I really have no bloody clue why. Maybe it's a bug already present in the game).
-Latino character's arm texture (short sleeve) /may/ be corrupt. I think I fixed this though.
Installation instructions are included in the .zip

Update 0.01.5 - Should (hopefully) fix some corrupt textures. OpenIV isn't exactly playing nice with this one.
GENERAL MOD UPDATE:
I'm sorry to say this, but I am currently unable to continue active development of this mod.
I may do a few updates here and there, but I've lost quite a bit of motivation after doing pretty much the same mod in GTA IV.
However, if some dedicated modders out there want to continue this project, they're more than welcome. I'll make my previously unreleased GTA IV textures open source on my hosting website, if anyone wants to use them for whatever reason.
Just chuck me a message and I'll send the link.
@GravelRoadCop Currently, the cap is just taken from the ambos.
Might dig deeper into the game files to find some more appropriate models though. This one kinda sucks.

@Fragdog So are you confirming it is indeed possible to copy the traffic warden hi-vis vest and load it on a LSPD ped model ?
@GravelRoadCop Probably not, because vests and stuff like that are in that particular ped's .ydr
Ped headwear (ped_props) are separate .ydr files, so moving those to another ped is quite easy.
As for the vest, it would probably be possible, but it would definitely take more time and effort to do, and would likely be a little buggy as well.
As a texture designer, it's not something that I personally have the skills to do.
The voices of the officers do not have any resemblance to that of ANY Australian person.. I'm disappointed.. 4/10

@Grand_Theft_Lachy Photoshop. Just export the textures from the .ytd in OpenIV.
This mod corrupts my x64e file, I think it's due to the mipmaps being a different number causing it to corrupt it
@Police_Textures_AU Hmm. Shouldn't do that. But I do know that one of the mips itself is corrupt. I'll see if I can fix that now.

Would be great if there was some kind of high vis version though, perhaps you could change the bullet proof vest texture to be high vis? Since I hardly ever see police nowadays without high vis on. Eigher way, I think I'll give it a go and get back to you
