Dashcam V is a RageHook plugin that simulates emergency vehicle dashcams used in real life.
Note: An unfortunate downside to the method of centering the camera is that you cannot freely rotate it. In terms of immersion, however, it makes sense because most dashcams do not rotate. In light of this, the dashcam no longer replaces the first person vehicle view, so you can use it whenever you desire.

- Two layouts: a regular dashcam layout and a remake of Sniper296's IVDashCam layout
- Remote view: view your vehicle's dashcam while on foot by pressing Ctrl + E or the Left Thumbstick + Left Shoulder

INSTALLATION
1. Download & install the latest RagePluginHook from http://ragepluginhook.net/Downloads.aspx if you haven't already.
2. Pick a folder. If you like the vanilla agencies, pick lore-friendly. Otherwise, pick real agencies.
3. Drag & drop "DashcamV.dll" and "DashcamV.ini" into the Plugins folder of your GTA V directory.
4. Using OpenIV, place the logos.ytd in update\update.rpf\x64\textures\script_txds.rpf (use your mods folder if you have it).
Find and open the file "startup.rphs". Once you open the file, start a new line and put LoadPlugin "DashcamV.dll".
This will make the modification automatically load when you start the game. If you do not want the modification to automatically load, launch the game and press F4. Once you see a panel, put in what you see above.
KNOWN BUGS
- When entering a vehicle that you left on dashcam view, your view will reset

can you please make a dash cam mod for all the other cars in the game? sorry if u answered this, just found this mod.
@mosimo The purpose of this mod is to simulate emergency vehicle dashcams, which, of course, are only found on emergency vehicles.
@PieRGud ya no i get it but someone needs to make a dash cam for like other cars...
@mosimo I don't think anyone's gonna make that given it's unrealistic but in the game settings you change the view from first person in cars to a dashcam-esque view on cars, all cars.
As far as Ragehookplugin... I finally had to install the full training version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 (free at Microsoft.com with a little searching) which includes ALL updated versions of visual studio C++ plugins ever released, and .Net Framework 4,5 - because for some reason Windows 10 just refused to update my version of VS 2010 C++ Plugin no matter how many times I tried to download, uninstall and reinstall it. That was the only way it finally worked for me with RageHookPlugin and eliminated ALL errors.

@PieRGud hello and thank you for this great mode. Got myself a question, I want to use this mode to make a full POV video but I got a situation, whenever I enter the vehicle with the first person view the camera is getting reset to the default one and it doesn't save the dashcam view, how can we fix this?

Does this plugin automatically detect what department you chose and does it change the name/logo depending on which department I use? Or do I have to manually change it each time I want to use it for a different department?

I made my own logos for this mod but it turns out they are stretched. Is there any way i can change it so theyre not stretched? Its a 10/10 mod
