Is the beta for the gunfight update still going to happen?

The mod author said he has had little time to work on the mod, but I'm guessing it's still coming.

Is there any mod that makes it so that you don't have that effect of getting shot? The question is mainly because of Machinima stuff, in an action scene, it kinda looks stupid if your actor is getting shot and he's still moving. Just wondering, like this mod though, more realistic.
