@Reyser yes, as there doesn't seem to be a way to detect when the radar has been disabled. The native function that's responsible for that doesn't appear to work, unfortunately.
@zanesix: Yes, perhaps, when I get around to updating the mod.
@Reyser: Thanks, and both those options are available. Read the "FEATURE INFO (PLD).pdf" file included in the download for more details. (The key combo to disable PLD in-game, by the way is: Alt + Ctrl + L ).
