@ikt That build works beautifully. I got out of cars 10+ times, no crash! :)
If I can suggest a future feature, could we have steering wheel deadzone adjustment? My wheel is pretty old and pulls to the left slightly, in other games i can adjust that but i obviously cant here, not yet, so that'd be pretty awesome to have :)
Ok, I will break down everything. There's no need for my settings files as I will now explain. I'm on the test build that you tagged me in to try out.
-If I reinstall the mod every time, it will launch with my steeringwheel and I can drive with my wheel until I get out of a car (it crashes)
-If I try launch the game a second time GTA5 will crash on startup with the error people have had before. If I unplug my steeringwheel then GTA5 will launch and the mod will work but without a steering wheel.
-I reinstall the mod and it works fine again, (Until i get out of the car)
Here is my log file after a getting-out of a car crash. The previous log file was from a startup crash. Hopefully you can take something from these both.
https://pastebin.com/e9FzWi9d
https://pastebin.com/yGxBphVT It still crashes, at first it crashed when i turned the wheel now it crashes on startup. Idk why its saying force feedback cos my wheel doesnt have force feedback
Going to try it again with updated gears.ini. will let you know how it goes :) I didn't mean to make you feel depressed,I know how much work you must be putting into this, its amazing. Keep it up and i will try to help you as best as I can.
It worked once. I was able, using my Thrustmaster Ferrari GT 3-in-1, (a PS3 wheel, I had to get some PS3 drivers to work it but that's beside the point) to somehow get it to work once. It wouldn't pick up my flappy paddles so I couldn't drive manual but I was happy. I got out of one car and it crashed so hard I had to restart my whole computer. Open GTAV again - crashed, ScriptHook says that there was an error with gears.ini. Open GTAV again and it opens, but my steering wheel isn't configured anymore. I try to set it up like I did before but it wasn't working whatsoever, and I was so confused until it crashed again, forcing me to restart my computer again. It's an awesome mod, but really buggy for me?
