Also, rivets & safety are wrong too. Missing two rivets, there should be 3, and the safety is missing the lower ledge that allows activation with your trigger finger, or first knuckle of the trigger finger. Speaking of missing, so is the BHO (Bolt Hold Open) release lever in the trigger guard. Person who modeled this gun must've gone on to work at Kalashnikov USA, there's so many errors with it. This was a lazy conversion of a prior art Saiga 12 model, obviously.
Not blaming the mod author, this is merely a port of someone else's jank work.
Imma geek out, since dis muh babeez.
Decent model you chose, pretty far from accurate tho. The left side optic mount is not available by default on any Vepr 12 model, this is because there is Picatinny (1913) rail atop the dust cover, which is missing from this model. Not a great substitution mind you, since the cover isn't solidly mounted except by an interference pinned hinge, so opening the dust cover never returns to the exact same place, meaning your optic doesn't return to zeroed. That hinge located on the front of the dust cover via the 1913 rail which forms the 2nd half of the hinge itself, and sight mounting block that forms the other 1/2, also not on this model.
The recoil rod holder is also absent, which holds down the dust cover on all AK derivatives until post AK-100 series. Further, the Vepr 12 has a spring loaded button to help secure the cover in place under hard use. Missing as well.
Why it bothers me to the point where I can't use this mod?
I personally own two, an short barrel converted 12-03 (folder), and a highly modified Vepr KL-12 Elite folder from Dissident. As far as the comment on the 1913 rail, both of mine are sporting AKedemia hardened aluminum versions (anna buncha rare carbon fiber and titanium bits) which are much more precisely machined than the OEM polymers, and even they do not return perfectly to zero. Only Zenitco has a proper quasi bolt-on solution, if you like wielding a boat anchor and don't mind cutting off the handguard retainer permanently. Zenit be hevi on an already beefy girl, and is hugely overrated and enormously overpriced.
Worse than ever since the war started and sanctions took effect. Serious, can get the entire gun for $200 more than the avg. gouger is tryna sell the Zenitco PT stock for these days.
Way wrong model. This is an FM-AK-47 https://duckduckgo.com/?q=vepr+FM-AK-47&t=ffab&iax=images&ia=images, not a ВПО-205/6 (Vepr 12). Easily discerned by the rifle diameter barrel, smaller magazine, no magazine well (pre-dated the addition by Izmash to the Saiga by several years), and finally, no pic rail atop the dust cover. It's also the far less desirable slant back cut receiver too, makes for compatibility issues with lots of standardized AK/RPK parts. The only reason those ridiculous thumb hole stocks exist at all is to satisfy the gAyTF arbitrarily made up (not law) restrictions on importation of foreign made weapons which were done away with in 2014
I'd show pictures of my 2 2016 foldy bois if they weren't so uniquely identifiable, but here's examples of the real thing so you can see this is absolutely incorrectly identified.

Useless. Links are dead, should've scrolled the comments. Waste of time.
Download is having problems, getting an "about:blank" page result.
@CaptainSugarFree Beauty, thanks for that. :) Now I'm going to have to get off my ass & make all else match as close as possible. I prolly should finish & release my Vangelico's overhaul while I'm at it too. ;)
I'm guessing you checked out their site while you were at it. Pretty nice toys the Sheriff has down there for a relatively piss-poor county, eh? Asset forfeitures must be huge, but it has pretty much always been a major corridor for trafficking...
@CaptainSugarFree: Nice job!
I'm fairly certain that just about everyone here is mistaken. I did a bunch of research a while ago on the subject, and it seems much more likely that Imperial Valley (a.k.a Imperial County) is what Blaine County is modeled upon.
Evidenced by:
Alamo Sea is the Salton Sea.
Sandy Shores correlates to Desert Shores Cali, with elements of Salton Sea Beach blended in.
Paleto Bay is Bombay Beach mixed with El Centro, iirc.
California State Prison, Centinela
Plus, a military base to boot, not a perfect match of course, the Navy doesn't have Abrams, lol - NAF El Centro.
Salvation Mountain is a nearly perfect representation in game.
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, Imperial National Wildlife Refuge, & Sonny Bono Salton Sea National Wildlife Refuge
Ofc there are others, but in the interest of tl;dr...
I collated all the materials to do a proper overhaul of the area, including all LEO & service vehicles, but lost interest in 5 for a while (bored), never getting around to doing so. Well, that & the limitations of what can be done mod wise in the game with respect to replacing meshes, emmissive, & such... I still have everything though, and may do so still. Take a look, & see what you think.
