update: my bad i downloaded the enhanced version instead of the legacy one.

The mod not longer works after the GTA5 Mansion DLC update. It just gives "corrupt data" warning. Moreover, i think it is more Enhanced only since i dont see the mentioned .oiv file for OpenIV.
I figured out why the metro/tram doesnt spawn in-game...The "Metro_config0" and the respective group are missing inside trains.xml (i was using improved trams mod and compare both xmls).
The trains4.dat file was also causing issues. After i added the missing "Metro_config0" and group entry, the trams were spawning but on the freight train tracks instead of the tram...so i replaced the trains4.dat file with the vanilla version and the problem was solved. However a second freight train does not spawn on the tracks. So i guess my take is only 2 trains (or 1 train and 1 tram) can spawn in GTA5. I will find a way in the trains4.dat file so that 3 spawns...or i might have to give up.

@ModEmPuncher try installing it and use fypo's gameconfig. and if you are experiencing crashes close to Prison, remove the sixstarsresponse.dll and let me know. i still haven't installed RDE4.1.2 because my phone was glitching. im stilll using RDE4.1.1
@JTR6699 yea, recently im experiencing crashes near Prison on specific roads like north of Prison on the dirt path which leads to a nearby gas station and on the highway near prison as you are going into the city. I removed all sixstar related scripts and it fixed it. I know it doesnt make sense but it fixed it for me. Maybe because i had VWE and RDE along with its compatibility mod installed.
@Jax765 how so? other gameconfigs work just fine. The gameconfig doesnt mess with the phone? i think it could be a problem with the 4.1.2 because the 4.1.1 works just fine.
i always use fypo's gameconfig before starting to mod. im usuing it with the rde 4.1.1 and it works fine. However, it was the rde 4.1.2 that had issues.
