2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Ram Air
⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃ ⊂ ⊃
⚠️The last of the F-body Firebirds, an unbroken line going back to 1967, is a marriage of old-school muscle and modern power. That gives it some quirks—anachronistic pop-up headlights and a decidedly last-century solid rear axle—but at least the latter is well-suited to dragstrip duties. And to be honest, the handling of this ‘bird is excellent by musclecar standards, pulling nearly 0.90 lateral G’s on a skidpad. More important for any Firebird connoisseur is straight-line G-forces, and with a 325-horsepower LS1 V8 underhood snorkeling fresh, cold air through the functional Ram Air hood nostrils, those G’s are in abundance. That puts the Firebird in mid-13 second range for the quarter mile, and a whole ton of smoky, tail-happy fun on a road course. Excellent brakes help haul down the Firebird from speed, and a smooth six-speed keeps the engine on the boil—all benefits of being the ultimate development of the 4th generation F-body. While Pontiac is now resigned to that great junkyard in the sky, the final Firebird is a fitting tribute to Pontiac’s heavy-hitting heritage.

⚠️The coupe measured 193.8 inches in length, 74.5 inches in width and 52.0 inches in height, with a 101.1-inch wheelbase. Except for being about half an inch taller with its top up, the convertible had matching exterior dimensions. The coupe's base curb weight was 3,499 pounds, while the convertible weighted-in at a slightly beefier 3,623 pounds. The coupe and the convertible were equal in terms of interior space. The front seats offered 37.2 inches of headroom, 57.4 inches of shoulder room, 52.8 inches of hip room and 42.9 inches of legroom. Backseat passengers got a somewhat-cramped 35.3 inches of headroom, 55.8 inches of shoulder room, 44.4 inches of hip room and 28.9 inches of legroom. The coupe had space for 12.9 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seats up and a maximum of 33.7 cubic feet with them folded down. The convertible's trunk provided 7.6 cubic feet of storage space.
⚠️The Firebird Trans Am was powered by GM's 5.7-liter LS1 V-8. The WS6 package added a functional "Ram Air" hood-scoop that helped direct cool air into the engine, along with a freer-flowing exhaust system. These enhancements helped boost output to 320 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 345 foot-pounds of torque at 4,400 rpm, which was an improvement of 15 horsepower and 25 foot-pounds of torque over the standard Trans Am. Buyers could choose between a four-speed automatic transmission or a Borg-Warner six-speed manual with Hurst shifter. The WS6 package also added a power steering cooler and special 17-inch aluminum wheels with sticky Goodyear F1 GS tires. The Firebird employed a double-wishbone front suspension with a traditional live-axle setup in the rear. Four-wheel disc brakes with ABS came standard. Traction control was available as an option.
⚠️The Firebird Trans Am WS6's performance capabilities were quite strong for its time. It could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in five seconds flat. A quarter-mile run took just 13.5 seconds at 107.4 mph. While straight-line speed was the main attraction, the Pontiac also put out very decent braking and handling numbers. It could decelerate from 60 to 0 mph in 121 feet, which was about 10 feet better than the Camaro Z28, its platform-mate equivalent from Chevrolet. On a 200-foot skid pad, it could achieve a solid 0.84G of lateral acceleration. Finally, the Trans Am WS6 could race its way through a 600-foot slalom course at 64.6 mph.

@icebox84 thank you for sharing this
OK do you know tk0wnz i have bougth all his cras and i have donaded money to him cus he knows what he is doing cars with lod's and tunnings parts so if you need that money you have to do a better job i got the money you sir give me a better product thanks
Sexy car. It’s a shame the pop up headlights don’t work. Literally my favourite part about these cars. Thanks for mod!
@SearchLight88 your welcome, i wish it worked too man but i do not convert so cant help us.. @pumaone i know of tkownz, i dont personally know him. and i do not know how to convert. maybe ask tkownz to convert the ws6. the file to download is posted in the description. free. then you can donate to him.
Not very good. Been using OpenIV for 3 years replacing vehicles, I try this one, it crashes my game & corrupts my files. Shame, been DYING for a WS6.
I wanna recant my last comment. It's a good mod, I just can't seem to edit the .meta's properly. Really apologize for my last comment. I was just very frustrated. I will see if I can get it working with just a .ytd/.yft replace. Any help on editing the meta's is appreciated. Apologies again
Seriously, I wanna extremely apologize for my comment from yesterday. It wqs a touch out of line for a problem that was my problem.
For anyone having issues getting this BITCHIN' machine to work, put it in Patchday19ng. I've tried a few different ways to install the mods for it, but 2 of the 5 times I tried, it completely ate up my Mods folder & Update.rpf lol. Both times it crashed, I had to re-install the game & completely re-do my entire Mods folder haha. Eh, it's the price you pay when ya try & make a righteous vehicle like this thing work completely! Anyway, Patchday19ng, replace the Ruiner files like normal, & you're golden!
@CadillacJack lmao, do you know how to mod? i can put this car as any car i want by simply just changing the name of the car file to what i want and it works. not sure what you keep going on about with your stupid ass comments. nobody has a problem but you. try googling HOW TO PUT MODDED CAR IN GTA V. watch the video. and then you will be golden lmao. good luck to ya!
I know how, but I'm starting back after a hiatus. I never knew ALL the ins & outs, as modding was/is a secondary/third hobby of mine, so I don't allocate all of my free time to LEARN it inside & out. I can read instructions, know how to install vehicle mods, & try to the best of my ability. I just always had something else distracting me every time I tried installing the WS6, so naturally it never worked for me. I'm still dusting the rust off as it's been 2 years since I have modded anything. Sorry for all the comments, I always tried to go back & correct them as to not be an asshole. I have had your WS6 in my game since I got it working, so other than changing the installation path & dropping it's modifications, It's worked great. Sorry for any frustration on your side of things.
@CadillacJack glade you have it sorted out. good luck enjoy!
please put plates...and is the hood factory like that? looks ugly.
Icebox86 thank you so much for sharing this mod .I don't think people quite understand you did not make this mod. You bought it and you are sharing it free with us thank you again. And this mod works excellent so if it's not working for some people you're doing something wrong.
@CadillacJack Thanks for the info regarding Patchday19ng, that was definitely correct. Also, thanks for the mod icebox84, amazing!
the T/A mods don't work. I still see the old mods for the original ruiner. and I can still see the old ruiner lights in the back. other than that the car looks awesome!
The car model is the T/A but it still has the tail lights from the ruiner thats been replaced. and the ls customs mods are still the original ruiner upgrades.
@SouthKings i also have this issue
will this model ever be unlocked? i want to create a Livery for it but need a template. if not thats alright there just isnt a lot of trans am content and i feel everyone would love to see more
Hey man! I LOVE this car. Im sure you have heard that a ton! I was just wondering with all the Fivem Roleplay servers becoming so popular if there was any way to make this Fivem ready. Or maybe someone in this thread knows how that is done. Im DYING to have this car in my RP server. Thanks for your time!
