Hello GTA5-mods.com. This is my first mod for GTA V. Just got sick of waiting for american train mods so,out of my little modding knowledge, I bring you here this new locomotive. It is a mash up in between a U36b with a C44 9W nose (wanted to keep it some thing fictional). The locomotive runs and all, it needs some work, a better collision, side and back windows, and details on the cab. If you have experience in modding, feel free to add whatever to enhance it and you can post your work here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/867550-vwipnew-locomotive-mod-help-needed/
Note: The passenger car on one of the pics is the Dbuz747 mod made by MrGTAmodsgerman, I just reskinned it, and does not come with this mod.

it's pretty good for someone with little knowledge, but yeah in all not that good quality. hope it gets better but I'm still gonna wait for an Amtrak F40. also good "Metra" parody.
YES! FICTIONAL VEHICLE MODS! FICTIONAL=LORE FRIENDLY, WOHOO! Seriously, I love that, only things I care about at this point.
This looks very nice! Now we just need an F-Unit locomotive :P 5 stars from me!
@Meepler1 I'm working on that ;) May take a while
if u want higher quality models, try converting from train simulator, would love to see some F Units or GEVO's rolling around San Andreas!
@5dmc1 I would love seeing an m420w or an F59PH :P love them cabs!
@5dmc1 oh and about the GEVO locomotives (or any six axle locomotive) is that it will actually clip trough some things (semaphores, walls, etc.).

@Synystry if you do do them, PLEASE do Santa Fe Super Chief. That is mine, and I am sure alot of other peoples', favorite train. It runs on my layout :3
@5dmc1 Currently in the works of fictional locos. A U.S. Army switcher like, An F40PH, and you're in luck. I am converting the whole C44 9W locomotive I used in this mod (yes, six axles. Fuck the glitching, it's not that obvious anyways :p). If you know anyone who can make collisions for these, please tell me so.
@Think_Tank I know me too :3 fictional vehicles keep the game's feel there.
@Synystry if it is the same as making collisions for cars, I might, if not, I would ask Walter, he always does cool train stuff and might know how.
@5dmc1 I'm pretty sure it is, if not, even easier than cars, dealing with the fact that trains are just static objects moving on a track that don't have any animations (fortunately and unfortunately lol).

once you get the model in ima see if i can make a sound mod for the f40 since i have one for train sim

how do u install this do i just put it in the vehicles.rpf?
