Work in progress! (W.I.P) of getting beautiful explosions in GTA5. Aiming for realistic lifelike explosions, fire and smoke effects. This is early stages, dont rate right away as im just releasing this to get others input and comments regarding what should be added what should be taken away.
INSTALL INSIDE.
Mod Changes:
3.2
Added new fire file, different install location,
Fixed some lines in smoke
Changed some colors around
Modded another fire file added some colors.
All MODDED vs ORIGINAL jpgs
in zip folder now to save space
v3.1
update to explosions and colors
more work done on fire.
check screens and compare

more work on fire, explosions and smoke,
included before & after pictures
included video & new screens

Fresh start, new higher quality
Sparks are small and less visible,
Blue implosion more visible
check screens for all changes!

Added spark effects, a few blueish purple start effects,
overall sharpen of explosions and smoke.
WAY MORE WORK TO BE DONE - SCREENS WILL CHANGE OVER TIME>

@John Doe im glad you like it! my favourate feature is when a car or wheel catches fire you actually see some nice blue undertone. gives it that gas is present feel and you dip the hell outta there. Im heading out to Colorado to visit my lady wont be back till after easter holiday. Thats why I tried to update all my mods before heading out. Enjoy GTA. When I come back more things in store, hopefully not just realistic, but wacky too!

Came back to say I installed and loved 3.1, but have just noticed another new update lol.. Installing now! :-D

After I installed the mod, but only this mod, I get the error "ERR_GEN_ZLIB2" is never works for me.
Sorry if this is a noob question, but where do I put the core file? installed everything else fine, just stumped as to where core goes, also as to hwy you have no install instructions lol :P

Hi i get "Failed zlib cal" error,how to fix this?
@mxt333 Hey man ive been using a bunch of different explosion mods for a while now. I think your explosion_fireball_rgba texture inside core.ypt should be a little darker. It would be perfect.
The fireball_rgba is the outside?
Fireball (one with purple in it) is the inside texture? Correct?
@mxt333...At night time burn out smoke from car is ink black at night even in street lighting, day in fine.
Also the file vfx_reference extn (Rockstar stock) end in ytyp. dose that matter?
Do you know where to find the muzzle flash textures?

@mxt333 Where is the explosion texture? And where are they located?
Does it change gameplay in any way other than the visuals? I don't want it to change damage at all
I tested and it's compatible with my other mods too. It only appears to change appearance files, but if anyone can confirm that would be great
