Overview

Our Helicopter Hover script is a dynamic helicopter control script designed for GTA V. It enhances the player's flying experience by adding smooth hover functionality, precise control over the helicopter's altitude. This script provides a seamless flying experience with additional customization features to fit your gameplay needs.

Features:


  • Hover Activation: Press the default `H` key to toggle the automatic hover mode for helicopters.

  • Turbulence and Stability Adjustment: The script adjusts the helicopter's velocity to create a hovering effect.

  • Visual Notifications: When the hover mode is engaged or disengaged, a visual notification appears above the minimap.

  • Configurable Controls: Adjust hover key bindings to suit your preferences.


Versions

V1.4.0 (Code Reconfigured and Enhancements)

  • Code Reconfigured: Code was outdated and needed an update, so we should see no errors. Code was fully rewritten from scratch.

  • Version Management: Now checks for updates and handles versioning more efficiently.

  • Ini File:: Updated for V.1.4.0


Previous Versions are in the README.md file - This mod was only uploaded on LCPDFR hence why it's V1.4.0

Installation (Singleplayer)

  1. Download the mod: Download the provided `.dll` file.

  2. Install Script Hook V:
    • If you don't have it installed, download and install Script Hook V from Dev-C.
    • Follow the instructions for installing Script Hook V.


  3. Install Script Hook V .NET:
    • Download and install Script Hook V .NET from GitHub.
    • Ensure the ScriptHookVDotNet.asi, ini and dll files are in your GTA V root folder.


  4. Place the Script: Place the HelicopterHover.dll file in the scripts folder located in your GTA V directory. If the folder doesn't exist, create it.

  5. Launch the game: Start GTA V, and the mod will automatically apply its functionality, and ini file will be created which can be found in scripts\Code-Master\Configs\HelicopterHover.ini.


Future Updates:

  • More realistic effects: Implement features where hover mode is more realistic.

  • Performance Optimization: Improve mod performance in-case of lag.

  • FiveM Compatibility:A fully optimized FiveM version of this script is underway and set for release in the upcoming update.


    • Protecting the Security of Our Work:
    Our code is now fully encrypted, and all future mod updates will include protected DLL files. This step is part of our commitment to safeguarding our work against unauthorized access and duplication. This protection also addresses cases where elements of our original code such as in version 1.0.0 VeloCity script were found replicated in third-party projects
