InversePower gives a small boost when you're drifting at low speed to keep on drifting.
InversePower counteracts vehicles in GTA V seeming to lose power when the vehicle is sliding. This makes driving (mainly) rear-wheel drive cars a bit more fun and predictable. Drifts and slides are easier to maintain and adjust. The lower the speed and the higher your angle, the more power is added.
This mod is inspired by Drift Assist by InfamousSabre and works similarly. The difference is that speed is used as a negative feedback to make cars not accelerate too much while drifting.
Requirements
Recommended
Any handling that aims for a realistic experience should work well with this.
For example, Killatomato's Realistic Driving V.
A few general recommendations on handling:
Installation
Extract InversePower.asi and InversePower.ini to your GTA V game folder.
Configuration
The InversePower.ini file contains descriptions for each option.
To apply the settings, use the cheat specified in InversePower.ini.
By default, this is "rip" (without the quotes).
(Stands for "Reload InversePower")
Changelog
2.0.0
* Rewrite entire script, removing the "power" part
* Make configuration parameters easier to understand
* Add option to enable for NPCs

Big-ish update after 5 years :)
Some background: I rewrote this because the previous version caused the back on RWD cars to kick out considerably when already drifting. When using a wheel, this was impossible to catch. This was inherently incompatible with low-power RWD cars (stock AE86 handling), and the values in the old config were annoying to change and understand. So I rewrote the thing.
The "power" element was removed. This was initially added/made because of my wrong understanding of the old name, and the "power" thing actually also changed top speeds when called. This new version ditches that and just changes torque.
The default settings are good for most handlings, as it scales well from my AE86 handling (0.157 DriveForce, ~1.0 Traction) to more powerful handlings.
Mod isn't working for shit
i uninstalled this mod due to it not working the way i thought but now all my cars spin city and stop in about 700 feet. can someone help?
Latest change is *just* a config update where I disabled the power boost (since that impacted top speeds and gearing, and breaks things like Custom Gear Ratios).
I haven't looked into the problem with it *not working at all* yet, hope I can do that soon or get test reports.
@ikt Does it works on car driver AI (NPC)?
@joshbon007
Nope, just the player.
@ikt can you help me how to use it in game. I don't understand
So I playing around with your great Mod, and a video happened. Keep up the great work
My car setup and 'my setup' of your Mod are in the video.

[CONFIG]
Power = 210
Torque = 180
Angle = 190
Speed = 340
Slope = 34
Deadzone = 0
[DEBUG]
Debug = 0
; Disable Power so it doesn't mess up gear ratios
DisableP = 1
DisableT = 0
is it possible to apply these affects to npcs?
Top notch. Really do enjoy the diversity and control I can have with all of the settings. Is a possible menu planned for a future release?
@V3ry_H1GH Yea it is possible, pretty simple actually. Just grab all the surrounding handles of civilians with GET_PED_NEARBY_PEDS, copy and paste handle of the targeted found PED to the PLAYER only intended feature created by ikt.
Legendary, thanks for the update ikt!
" Add option to enable for NPCs " THIS IS MONUMENTAL!!!!! Police chases will be so much more enjoyable
Hi ikt, Maybe you can make this voor sp? For i know it's only on fivem. Nitro purge when pressing nitro without gas. and the anti lag system also amazing. here is where you can download the fivem versions: https://forum.cfx.re/t/release-standalone-2-step-als-anti-lag-system/1057327/2
https://forum.cfx.re/t/release-advanced-nitro-system/1367822
If anyone has the newest version with good settings/configurations please lmk
this scrip is recommended for those of you who like to use realistic handling but want to be able to drift , watch here https://youtu.be/ezU8zuXqRAg
Does this still work?
@Dimentive yeh I think
Thank you for this!
Hello everybody! Which of scripts that counter the power loss while drifting or sliding best working now with actual version of GTA 5?
I mean, which of that?:
InversePower
Stop!Powercutting
InverseTorque
