About the mod :
This simple mod replaces the original loading screen's music by the fake GTA V's theme made by Erick Clark (https://soundcloud.com/erickclarkmusic/erick-clark ) that, I think, is way better than the original. The song name is "L.S. Mob" and it was said that it was made by Michael Hunter; but it was a hoax from Erick Clark.
How to install :
- In OpenIV go to "x64 > audio > sfx > PROLOGUE.rpf".
- Extract the archive provided containing "td_loading_music" and "td_loading_music.oac" to your desktop.
- In OpenIV, switch to Edit Mode.
- Right-click on a blank space and select "Import open-formats"
- Select "td_loading_music.oac" ONLY and click Ok
- Play

Thank you for making this mod, this music is actually better than original.
Except this wasn't composed by Michael Hunter. It was a hoax. Hell, one of the videos you linked lays it out right in the description who actually made the song, and they have a video on their channel explaining how they did it.
@cp1dell Argh, I didn't saw that. I will add this in the description. Thanks
@cp1dell Shit! Well that sucks.
Well Michael Hunter does have an album out. I think "In Flux" or something. It's been a while since I listened to some of it, but I'm sure there is a song or two in there that fit the theme for Los Santos.
@cp1dell Right, I love this album ("State of Flux" btw) ! But unfortunately we can't upload mods w/ copyrighted music on gta5-mods, I already tried with the "Oh No - Welcome to Los Santos" and it was rejected :-/
I legitimately tried installing this mod onto my game for 3 hours because i would love the music on my startup, but the instructions are either incorrect or unclear. Please would you be able to possibly update them or release a walk-through on you-tube and link it on this page
Tengo la solución al problema para que funcione correctamente:
Correcta Instalación:
En OpenIV: ir a "x64> audio> sfx> PROLOGUE.rpf".
1º paso:
Ir a OpenIV pulsa modo edición:
- Haga clic en nuevo/importar abrir formatos.
busca el archivo td_loading_music.oac donde lo hayas descargado
lo seleccionas y le das abrir, saldrá una ventana de open formats
y le das a ok.
2º paso:
Good song and great mod!
it dose not work when i try to import it it just says
Some files not imported, more information below.
td_loading_music.oac(Line 9): File "td_loading_music\0x0C254AE9.wav" not found.
@DemNinjas Hi, Can I use this mod with GTA Online?
@RowerPower Probably. I never tried myself but to my experience if you only have a modified intro music Rockstar won't detect it & won't ban you. I may be wrong however.
@DemNinjas @RowerPower Did anyone try using this mod with GTA Online and not get banned?
@MonkeyFace Using RPF mods according to OPENIV creators will get you banned.
@Jo1991 It works perfectly fine... Just export the vanilla "td_loading_music" file and just replace the two extracted .wav files with the one's provided here. Disregard the provided .oac file.
Fuckin magic, right?
How exactly do I install this mod? The comment above doesn't really give much clarity and the other comment providing a solution is in a language I can't speak. If someone could provide a detailed installation process, that would be wonderful.
