Description
I ended up taking the sounds out of the game "Squad" and edited them to fit into the GTA world. Even though these sounds are taken from another source, I spent a lot of time editing them to work in Grand Theft Auto, so please ask before using anything. I am also still working on this mod so any suggestions are welcomed.
!!IMPROTANT!! Make sure your SFX Volume in settings is near or all the way up. Then you can change the loudness through your headset or computer. This is to ensure quality of the gun sounds.
Installation
Open the oiv and install into mods folder. Read the README!

OIV error check the pinned comment.

1.1: Added Automatic Installer, Added FiveM Compatibility, Changed sounds of the: AKs, APPistol, Pistol50, and Heavy Pistol, Added (WIP) Reports/Echoes.
1.2: Improved all sounds by improving the echo both distance and near. Improved quality of distant sounds, fixed missing advanced rifle sound.

If you get a fatal error during the oiv installation you need to install Immersive Combat's uninstaller before I can fix it. It adds files into a path that arent there originally and I'll look at a way to prevent that.

These guns sounds DO NOT sound like the gun sounds in squad!!! I swear there is NOOOOOOOOOOO decent "realistic and grounded" sound sounds ANYWHERE!!!!!! it's super annoying!!
Is it possible if you could provide a non-oiv version? There is this installation error (bottom) i found most notable because its in the wrong path in the installation log and to uninstall manually incase if I don't like.

That's because it's overly complicated to change the sounds and make them work correctly. You're SOL really if you want "realistic". This is one of the better ones.

@IAmJFry but hey, can we NOT have the AK-47 sound like a damn space gun!? The ak should have at least a ak-ish sound close as possible. Can I send you a link so you can download that sound into gta 5 plz brother ?? This is the only way I level put my PTSD. THX
By the way brother I'm not saying ur ak 47 sounds like a space gun! It sounds good actually! Best one on here! Buuut most of the ak47 sounds on gta5mods sound like a silly space gun lol. But yea man, let me send you a link so you can implant that sound for the ak47 into this mod!! Just add it bro! It would for sure put this mod above all the rest.

Oh it’s not my mod. I just know what it’s like and I know the mod author. You have to do a lot to make things work. You can’t just drag n drop a gun sound. That’s the issue.

If I download this gun sound package , can I replace a gun sound for the pistol and compact pistol and keep the remaining gun sounds from this gun sound package? Thx
@Nick4142 Yeah I had to edit them for them to be loud enough and sound right in game. GTA V’s sound engine changes the pitch and bass of some sounds no matter what I do so its bard to get them perfect.
Some weapons do not have gun sound for example the avanced rifle do not have one
@Mathox You need to install the hotfix it will fix the sounds

Way too distorted
I found out how to fix the no gunshot/ no sounds audio bug. if you installed oiv in mods folder, replace the weapons.meta in mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/ai with the original weapons.meta inside of the non mods update.rpf folder
